A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud hosting platform and you have a website hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a lot of functions, but it’s incredibly easy to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires just one click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll just have to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the particular email address. Our system will warn you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and requires one more click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be activated without effort if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you will find a small-size symbol conveniently located right next to each one of them. With only one click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable this option through the contextual menu that will come into view. If any of the prerequisites for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will notify you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
