SSH Telnet in Website Hosting
If the website hosting plan that you’ve selected throughout the signup process features SSH access as standard, you will be able to activate this function with a click in your Hepsia CP. In case you have chosen a different plan, the SSH access function could be included via the Upgrades menu and it will become available right away. The information which you need connect will be conveniently listed inside the SSH section of the Control Panel - the hostname, the username and the port number. You can also set what password to use from the same spot and you shall be able to modify it whenever you want. All the commands which are allowed are listed in the Help articles which we have prepared for you, together with examples of the syntax which you need to use. An additional advantage of allowing SSH access to your account is that you will be able to upload files via an SFTP connection.
SSH Telnet in Semi-dedicated Servers
When you have a semi-dedicated server account with us, you will be able to obtain SSH access to it with simply a mouse click from the corresponding section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which comes with all accounts. If your package does not support this function by default, you'll be able to add it easily through the Upgrades menu. Once you go to the SSH section, you'll discover the details you need to connect to the server through a command line or a desktop app - the server/host, the port number, the username and the password. The latter can be updated anytime, if required. These login credentials are also needed if you'd like to upload files through a secure connection and you want to use SFTP, which is also part of the SSH access service which we provide you with. An extensive list of the commands which you can execute will give you a better idea of what tasks you can perform within your account and each one is accompanied by several instances of the syntax.
